A Note From the Farm

A historic farm, and a love story.

Historical and romantic, Wren Farm is a setting that excites the senses and soothes the soul, steadied by the sureness of structures that have stood the test of time and flung their doors open wide. A farmhouse built in 1845, a barn that has weathered every season since, and fields that turn with the year.

The Barn

Hand-hewn beams,
string lights to the rafters.

The barn is the primary event space: 3,600 square feet on two levels, hand-hewn beams, chandeliers and string lights overhead. It holds up to 225 guests. Outdoor ceremonies take place in the field with the Champaign County hills behind you, while indoor ceremonies gather beneath the barn's timber rafters.

Cocktail hour moves out to the brick patio and the fire pit. Photographers work the patio, the flower rows, and the open land.

We grow cut flowers here on the farm. Elizabeth oversees the field herself and sells bouquets through the season. Peonies come in late spring, wildflowers run through late summer, and sunflowers and dahlias carry into the fall, including a one-acre sunflower patch couples can use for photos.

Couples can add farm-grown florals to their wedding day. We also host public farm dinners each year during flower season.

Both Cassie and Hallie gave us a tour of the venue and answered any questions we had before the weekend of the wedding. I literally cannot rave enough about how INCREDIBLE this venue is, let alone the AMAZING people who help run it. Cassie helped us from viewing, to reviewing, to viewing again — answering every question, comment and concern faster than lightning across a variety of contact methods. Never once did we feel like anything less than the most important couple they were hosting. And Jillian, who helped coordinate everything, was beyond perfect. From the final walk-through to arranging and rearranging things for us, she was a blessing to have. I own Jean-Leigh Photography LLC and this was our first time shooting at Wren Farm. The venue is really unique and I loved all the different spaces and photo opportunities. Beautiful farm, and I loved the farmhouse that's available for the bride getting ready. The venue coordinator, Cassie, was so helpful throughout the day. Even when obstacles were thrown her way due to the weather, she handled everything with a smile. My team and I look forward to any future opportunities to work with this venue.

This was a beautiful place for a wedding. Service was outside on a sunny day. It was interesting to see the elements of the old barn. I rather appreciated the rustic setting and seeing the building structure of the barn itself. All in all, a perfect venue for the joining of two lives starting their journey together.

Pricing Sheet

The barn and the field, from setup to the last dance.

Sunday rentals start at $3,995. Two-day weekends, Friday setup and rehearsal plus your Saturday wedding, start at $4,750. That covers the barn, the field, the brick patio and fire pit, and the grounds, along with tables, chairs, bars, and getting-ready space for both of you. Linens are not included. Season and day of the week set the final number.
