Couples have married at Wren Farm in every season since 2015. This page is the practical side of that: the spaces and what they hold, the tables and chairs that come with the barn, what a Saturday costs, who we recommend, and the answers to the questions we get asked most. The Spaces

The whole property, one booking.

Your date gives you the whole property. Here is what each part of it does, and how much it holds.

The Barn

The main event space. Exposed wood, a high arching ceiling strung with fairy lights, and hanging chandeliers. The floor plan is completely open, so you can seat the room however you want it. Off the first level is the brick patio, with a fire pit for your use, where cocktail hour usually lands and the dancing carries on once the sun goes down.

The Field

A large flat stretch of grass directly outside the main barn entrance. Most couples use it for the ceremony, with acres of rolling hills behind them. It also works as an outdoor reception or a pre-wedding cocktail hour.

The Getting Ready Suites

The bridal suite sits inside the 1845 farmhouse and is yours for the three hours before the ceremony. Across the yard, the corn crib gives the other side of the party a space of its own for the whole rental period.

Linens are not included and should be provided by you. Our 60 inch round tables take 120 inch cloths.

Bring who you like. Here is who we like.

Wren Farm has an open vendor policy, so you are welcome to bring in whomever you like. The one exception is your bartender, who needs to be approved by us before you book them.

The questions we get asked most.

How many guests can Wren Farm hold?
Up to 225, in the barn or out in the field.
When is the barn available?
The barn is typically available for weddings from April through November.
What does the rental include?
Twenty 60 inch round tables, 200 wooden folding chairs, 24 Chiavari chairs for the head table, four 6 foot tables, two bars, a wooden sweetheart table, full use of our decor closet, a Bluetooth speaker, and the bridal suite for three hours before the ceremony. Linens are not included and should be provided by you.
What size linens fit your tables?
Our round tables are 60 inches and take a 120 inch cloth.
How big is the ceremony arch?
The arch at our outdoor ceremony site is eight and a half feet tall and eight feet wide.
Can we bring our own caterer and bartender?
Yes. We have an open vendor policy, so you are welcome to bring in whomever you like. The one requirement is that your bartender is approved by us before you book them. Our recommended list is above.
Can our pet be part of the day?
We love pets, and we know a lot of you love yours like family. Dogs, cats, and even horses are welcome to take part in the ceremony and the photos. A few conditions: they need to be on a leash or lead the whole time they are at the farm, and we strongly recommend a guest or handler be responsible for them. For the safety of your pet and your guests we do not permit pets inside the barn, so please plan to have them head home after the ceremony and pictures.
Can we use flower petals down the aisle?
Real petals are welcome, whether they line the aisle or get tossed by a flower girl. Please do not use fabric petals or leaves. They are difficult to clean off the ceremony lawn and they confuse the wildlife around the farm.
Can we do a sparkler send off?
Yes, as long as the sparklers are lit and enjoyed outside the barn. Your Wren Farm coordinator can help line your guests up. Because of the crop fields around the farm, we do not permit paper lanterns or fireworks.
How does the bridal suite work?
The suite is in the farmhouse and is yours for the three hours before the ceremony. The farmhouse is a private home, so the suite is locked once the ceremony starts. Please have everyone collect their belongings beforehand and move them to a car or to the barn.
Where does the other side of the party get ready?
The corn crib, across the yard from the farmhouse.
Is there parking?
Yes. Parking is on site, ample, and easy to reach.
How far is Wren Farm from Columbus?
About a 30 minute drive from Columbus, and roughly 45 minutes from Dayton.
What does it cost to hold a date?
A $1,500 deposit and a signed license agreement. The balance is due 150 days before your event. Full pricing is above.
Do you host smaller events?
Yes. A four hour morning or afternoon event is $650, which works well for grad parties, birthdays, and bridal or baby showers. These can be booked 90 days in advance, and dates are not released for smaller events until then.
Can we add flowers from the farm?
Yes. We grow peonies, sunflowers, and other cut flowers here, and couples can add farm grown florals to the day. See Flowers and Special Events.
